THE GAZETTE: FROM DETROIT TO THE TRENCHES is a coming of age story that chronicles the lives of fifteen year old Bob Stevens, his friend Maggie Robinson, and eighteen year old Davy McLeod. It is set during the turmoil of the Great War. Between 1915 and 1918 in Detroit, Michigan the real life Bob Stevens wrote a newspaper called, "The Gazette". His newspapers are the inspiration for this historical novel.
